About Jeff Gaines

After attaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Jeff went to work for British Petroleum in their aerospace manufacturing plant in Auburn, WA. There he built a full-service MIS department. Selected and managed installation of more than $1 million worth of data collection, PC’s, voicemail, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) and communication equipment.

Moving over to the service industry, Jeff went to work for Nova Networks, a systems integrator in Seattle, WA. As Engineering Services Manager he built the department from a three-person staff with $300K annual revenue to a twelve-person staff with $1.2 million in annual revenue. Was responsible for budget control, hiring and recruiting, staff development, design and consulting services, new products development, project management, help desk services and on-site services. Department was performing an average of 3 major installations per month with over 250 on-site visits per month. Under Jeff’s leadership, Nova Networks was awarded Novell Platinum Partner status, MS Solutions Provider and Compaq Service Center status.

Leaving Nova Networks to pursue his passion for assisting people in their growth and self-awareness, Jeff became the youngest facilitator in the 20-year history of Context Associated. Context Associated produces and presents a variety of personal and professional development seminars focusing on such issues as conflict resolution, consensus building, stress management, accountability and decision making to name a few. Experiential and participatory, these courses are challenging and demanding to facilitate. While there, Jeff was continually recognized as one of the top three producers.

Since 1998, Jeff has been an independent, offering his speaking services ranging from keynotes to extended development programs, coaching and consulting to a wide variety of clients. Areas of expertise include Emotional Intelligence, management, leadership, motivation, communication, conflict management, customer service, sales, and employee wellness.
